What was it like to be an evacuee during World War Two?

I have included a clip of the well known film, 'Goodnight Mr Tom.'

This film shows a young child who has been evacuated from London to live with a grumpy old man, 'Mr Tom.' The film shows how children were sent on a train to the country and how they were literally left with anyone who has a spare room. It explores the feelings of all characters involved and will provide topics for discussion and activities for you class.
